The BCAG Open Exhibition invites Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority artists working in painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, jewellery and photography to submit work to be included in Black Artists for Black History Exhibition 2020.

This exhibition provides an excellent opportunity for contemporary artists from across the UK and Europe to Africa and the Americas, including the Caribbean, to promote their work in our prestigious art gallery and to be discovered by our clients and art collectors.

The aim of the exhibition is to highlight 500 years of struggle and pain, as well as to celebrate black history and culture through powerful imagery that will start a debate around access to opportunities for black, Asian and ethnic minority emerging artists in the UK.

The exhibition will run for one month, from 1st – 31st October 2020.

In addition, our aim is to use art as a social tool to advocate for equal opportunities, equal rights and development and exposure for black, Asian and ethnic minority artists, so every three months we will run Black Arts Week exhibitions at the gallery called “I-Inspire”.  Other galleries will be welcome to collaborate with us on this initiative across the UK.

Deadline to enter: Midnight on Friday 18th September 2020

If selected, work must be delivered to the gallery by 6:00pm on 20th September 2020.
