FAYE WOODS

Faye has been creating art in her free time for many years, whilst teaching secondary school art. She studied at Wolverhampton University in 1990 – 1993 and was influenced greatly by her tutor John Paddison, who taught her to carve and sculpt clay. She previously exhibited her work at Wolverhampton Society of Artists (2012) and Worcester Open (2011). She has also contributed illustrations to the book Tree Morphogenesis by David Lloyd-Jones.

She works in a variety of mediums such as acrylic paint, pencil, clay, but her preferred medium is wood. Her active imagination helps her visualise and plan projects and drives her to carve them into wood or mould them in clay.
